ESOF Science Plane 2016
The adventures of
the first Hungarian student delegation
at the EuroScience Open Forum!
OUR PODCASTS
During the ESOF, our team had the occasion to meet and discuss with many speakers and participants of the forum.
Here you can listen to an interview with William Durham, Departmental Research Lecturer in Zoology at Oxford University. He received a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from MIT in 2012. His research aims to resolve how the microscale physical environment shapes the ecology and evolution of microbial life. More specifically, his group uses microfluidic experiments, quantitative image analysis, and mechanistic models to understand how microbes exploit the complex chemical and fluid dynamical landscapes found in their natural habitats. Mack will join the Department of Physics at the University of Sheffield later this year as part of the Imagine: Imaging Life initiative.
The reporters were Lilla Horváth and Gabriella Pásti.
During the ESOF, our team had the occasion to participate at the "Pie with the Prof" event, where we could settle around a table with other ESOF participants and a special invitees, to have a lunch together. To give you a flavor of this event, we made podcasts of the "Pie with Tim O'Brien" and the "Pie with Brian Cox" sessions.
