Anna

LŐRINCZ

​Anna is an M.Sc. student in Chemistry since 2014, who keeps her eyes and mind open towards the surrounding world.

 

Speaking in English, German and Italian, she started to get involved in work and science quite early. During her B. Sc. studies she has already spent a summer internship as an  attendant in the food industry, focusing on product quality assurance and water analysis.

 

At the same time, she had a B. Sc. research project as well, focusing on drug research to treat tuberculosis. This work helped her to get familiar with peptide synthesis, flow cytometry and in vitro studies. As an M. Sc. student, she further completes her work by the synthesis of biological active peptides and their characterization chemically and functionally in living cells, she uses mass spectrometry methods and studies the structure and effects of drugs.

During this academic year, she spent a semester in Padova, focusing her studies on bioploymers, electrochemistry, organic functional materials and physical methods in organic chemistry.

 

In her free time, Anna is fond of the theatre and loves to read both contemporary and classical novels.

TO ESOF 2016?

"ESOF provides for young scientists such a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the world’s current and future issues. At the same time, it is a great occasion to discuss the possible solutions of the main problems and the present state of the science. This brainstorming can be really useful to gather some excellent ideas and to investigate the issues from different scientific aspects. ”
